This project could be assigned as an individual or a group project. If you decide on a group project, you could organize your class into "wagon teams" to make it fun. Assign each student a role in the project, such as "Arms Master" or "Cook" or "Team Leader". Then each person could research their specific job and report back to the group with the information they learned.
The student should have access to both Internet and Library resources, including some of the books listed in the Process/Resources section. This WebQuest was developed with the book "New Mexico" by Susan A. Roberts and Calvin A. Roberts in mind.
