Educational Design
- SoftChalk Lesson Builder -- great software for building learning objects and easy html pages.
- Impatica -- converts PowerPoints with audio and shrinks the file size so it's manageable for even dial-up students!
- Writely.com -- This site allows a user to create a word processing document, and the invite others to collaborate, publish to a blog, or save the document on the desktop. Very impressive so far and it appears it would be a great collaborative tool for learning communities.
- Edublogs -- This site allows teachers to actually edit and publish student's blogs. It helps in monitoring what their students are actually publishing and allows it to be a true educational tool.
- Wikispaces -- A great collaborative tool for learning communities. According to the Tech Chicks (www.techchicktips.com) you can let the owners know that you using it for educational purposes and they will upgrade you to ad-free for free. :)
- ClassBlogMeister -- Create a class blog.
- Blogger -- great tool for blogging and just having fun.
- Women of Web 2.0 -- this is a great place to get to know other women in education using all these "cool tools" such blogs, wikis, podcasts, and more! It's free to join and includes a blog, discussion board, and more!
- Google Apps for Educators -- Wow! All their tools and how you can use them in educational ways in one place!!
- Diigo -- social bookmarking site. Share your bookmarks and even share annotations
- Remember the Milk -- share tasks and organize your tasks. Could be shared with a class who is doing a group project so each person knows what needs to be done on the project and where they stand.
- Web 2.0 Links -- a list of Web 2.0 and educational links. Much more advanced site than mine full of great links!
- Blue Dot -- Another social bookmarking site.
- My Project Pages -- a great place for a group project that should be presented online! HTML is NOT needed...it walks you through the steps of setting up your page. Includes projects, miniquests, and curriculum designs.
- Pink Flamingo's Resources -- more links!
- Generating & Facilitiating Effective Online Discussions -- incredible PDF document.
- Gliffy -- VERY cool drawing site. Great online collaboration tool using drawing tools.
- University of Wisconsin-Madison Tutorials

Student Services
- Student Space -- great software for tracking students, early alerts, and more!
Web/Graphic Design
- Colorschemer -- A very cool place to find color schemes for your website and graphic design projects.
- Hotscripts.com -- a great place to get php, asp, javascripts, and other scripts for FREE. Some are for pay, so just watch the fine print. I use these guys for any kind of scripts I might need. Why recreate something that has already been created??
