INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
Instructional Design is a complex concept and implementation. From assisting the instructor in converting their courses into online format using video, audio, and interactive lessons to the student view design, I know every step that must be taken for a course to be effective.
When I began designing courses, my employer was with Quality Matters and used QM to evaluate all courses — both online and face-to-face. My team and I designed, though, with the student in mind, which naturally led to meeting Quality Matters standards.
In my roll at the university, we also designed a standard for each course, including a template the course should implement. That template is still being used today because of its timelessness.
To the side are several examples of courses and parts I have developed in.the past.
LESSONBUILDER
The program LessonBuilder was used to create this course. LessonBuilder creates dynamic interactive parts of a lesson, including crossword puzzles and more.
WEBQUESTS
WebQuests are interactive lessons that a student must solve a problem. I worked with Dr. Doug Dinwiddie to create two webquests for his US History class.
