Reflective Blog
In this course you will be writing each week about what you learned for extra credit. This reflective assignment is NOT to be a copy and paste of your homework or discussion questions, but rather a reflection on what you learned or didn't learn and how it will apply to your life. You should put some thought into the reflective writing. A rubric is below for the scoring.

Discussion Questions
Each week I will post one or two discussion questions. You must answer at least ONE of the questions and respond to a fellow student's post on a separate day. I want to encourage you to read the discussion board at least once a day. This is where you can really get the knowledge flowing as you share with your colleagues.
Here is the rubric I will use for grading your discussion questions.
This week's main discussion is as follows. Please post your response to this as a new post on the Module 1 Discussion board.
Did you know that NMSU-C has Wireless Internet Access Points in every building? Do you think instructors should let students use their own laptops in the classroom? Why or why not?
This week will be a special week as I want you to also play the introduction game. So...you must post to the discussion question AND the introduction game. In the introduction topic, answer the following question in a new post and then respond to at least one classmate.
Think of one word that best describes you or your life. Enter your word and your name in the subject line of a discussion board entry, and then explain why you chose that word in the body of the posting. Review the entries of others and find someone else whose word resonates with you. Reply to their message and try to find at least two additional nouns that the two of you have in common by the end of the week. I will start this discussion on the board.
Assignments
Each week you will also have an assignment due by Friday at 11:55 p.m. Please make sure you check your Assignment dropbox early in the week so you know what you have due by Friday. Your first assignment is due next Friday.
Your text describes the different types of computers: supercomputer, mainframe, servers, handheld devices, and personal computers. Most hardware vendors provide one or two types of computers while others specialize in just one.
Do an Internet search to find who the major vendors are for each type of computers. Find at least two vendors for each type of computer. Where are their manufacturing facilities? Who are their software vendor partners?
